Welcome to Chara Vista Cabin, a newly rebuilt modern mountain retreat, where design meets comfort. This 2 bedroom cabin has mountain views that you've been dreaming of! Our cabin is located on the peaceful side of the smokies in Wears Valley and is only a short drive away from all that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. Our hope is that this Smoky Mountain Retreat would be your home away from home. Enjoy a cozy place for friends and family to gather for a memorable stay in the mountains!

When you enter the cabin you will notice a full wall of large windows that show stunning views of the Smoky Mountains. This retreat is ideal for couples, families, & friends looking for a mountain getaway. Chara Vista offers its guests seclusion without being far from the area attractions! The main level features the primary suite with full bathroom, living room with gas fireplace, washer/dryer, a well-equipped kitchen, game room, and a dining table that seats 8. There is also a deck off the main level that overlooks the mountains, making it the perfect place to spend a quiet morning drinking a cup of coffee or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. You will also find a hot tub on this deck and a gas grill. The upper level features a loft bedroom open to the downstairs and the big windows with stunning views of the mountains, full bathroom, wellness deck, and arcade.

Other Details to Note

- All guests must be 25+ (children with parents are allowed) - 8 people max - No Pets - No smoking - Bears are in the area. It is not uncommon for bears to be seen on the property. Please close and lock your car doors. Place all trash in the bear-proof receptacle. - The fireplace is shut down April 1 to October 1, as with every cabin in the area. - No outside fires allowed - Access roads are steep and windy but paved.  - The Cabin is professionally cleaned every time a guest checks out and follows all the COVID cleaning protocols and maintain safety as a top priority. - The outside security camera is in place for the safety of guests and the Cabin. Wears Valley is conveniently located near both Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. You will be 5 minutes from local restaurants, small shopping venues, and convenience stores, and 15 minutes to bigger grocery stores, chain restaurants, and all the attractions that Pigeon Forge has to offer. Chara Vista Cabin is located 25 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, but only 10 minutes from the "hidden" Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance in Wears Valley. This is probably the least-used entrance to the national park, and offers access to major sights like Cades Cove and Newfound Gap. Since this national park entrance connects to the Little River Gorge Road, you can easily reach all of the popular and scenic areas of the park via Wears Valley. This entrance to the national park takes visitors to the Metcalf Bottoms Picnic area located between the Elkmont and Tremont districts in the Smokies. Additionally, this "hidden" entrance to the national park is a great alternative way to enter the Smoky Mountains when the main road in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is crowded. Many locals use this entrance to bypass traffic in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, so it's an excellent way to quickly reach the Smokies. We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. The location was perfect—tucked away enough to feel private and quiet, yet still close to all the fun in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. 🌲 What We Loved The cozy atmosphere: The cabin had that perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Cleanliness: Everything was spotless when we arrived, which made settling in so easy. Beautiful views: Morning coffee on the deck was a highlight. The mountain scenery was stunning. Comfortable beds: We all slept great, which isn’t always a given when traveling. Amenities: The hot tub, fireplace, and well‑stocked kitchen made the stay feel extra relaxing. Easy check‑in: Clear instructions and smooth access—no stress at all. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again. It was the perfect getaway spot to unwind and enjoy the Smoky Mountains.

The Chara Vista Cabin was a great mountain getaway for our family. We came for Dollywood and Great Smokey Mountain hikes but the cabin was a vacation and relaxing oasis in itself. We loved the hot tube with beautiful mountain views and the workout deck for outdoor activities. Inside the choice of games to play was outstanding (pool, darts, chess, checkers, and Pac Man game) There was more games but we could not get to them all during our 3 night stay. The primary bathroom's rain shower gave us that spa feel and the spacious living room and full kitchen with island was like home away from home. The queen size bunk beds for the kids were the best we ever experienced and that is based on a dozens rentals we have booked in the past with bunk beds. We highly recommend this cabin if you are visiting the Smokey's. There is a lot to do in the area but we could not wait to get back to the cabin each day.

The cabin was beautiful. Lots of extras that the kids enjoyed from board games, arcade game, large bunk bed, etc. Everything was as described, if not better. Host were very responsive and instructions were very clear. A link with instructions, directions and recommendations were sent prior to check in which came in handy. Would definitely recommend!

This place was exactly as pictured, if not better. The views were absolutely stunning, and the open layout made it perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The home was fully loaded with amenities including the hot tub, pool table, board games, outdoor workout area, and so much more. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a family getaway, this place truly checks every box. I actually had the privilege of proposing to my now fiancée here, which made the experience even more unforgettable. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone considering booking.

Incredible home. Our young kids felt immediately comfortable and safe in the loft with bunk beds. We came to explore the Smoky Mountains but had trouble leaving Garrett and Heather’s place! It was clean and cozy. We spent most our time enjoying the amazing mountain view from the hot tub. Garrett and Heather promptly and kindly responded to inquiries. Our kids are already asking when we can go back!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Chara-Vista Cabin! The cabin was incredibly cozy, fun, and welcoming—truly a perfect getaway. The kids had an amazing time with all the games and activities, and the view was simply breathtaking. Every moment felt special and relaxing. Garrett and Heather were fantastic hosts—so kind, attentive, and quick to respond, making sure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back. Our family of four loved the house! It was such a peaceful area, just a short drive from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It is just as beautiful as the pictures. We loved coffee on the deck, nights in the hot tub, our teenagers playing pool and working out on the loft deck. The beds were very comfortable, the house was clean, the gas grill and stocked kitchen made making breakfast and dinner a breeze! The neighborhood was so relaxing and quiet. Being from the Midwest and not used to mountains, getting to the house the first night after dark was not our best decision, so we would recommend a daylight initial arrival for those in our inexperienced shoes. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends. Thank you, Heather and Garrett! 5 stars!!!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin, The place was absolutely beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed. The owners were super helpful, responsive, and made the whole process easy from start to finish. You can tell they really care about their guests. The cabin itself was cozy, comfortable, and in a perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the area.
